CAJE offers students the opportunity to earn recognition for their dedication and passion for learning through our Scholar Awards. All students — teens and adults — have the opportunity to earn scholarships of up to $500. Teens can earn college recommendations and internships, and adults can earn certificates of achievement from CAJE the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Certificate of Achievement Requirements
Teens:
- Participate in one class, event or program per year, 8th through 12th grade
- Complete community service hours
Students who transfer from a synagogue educational program or day school can receive credit toward their certificate based on the curriculum studied. Special circumstances will be handled on an individual basis.
Certificate & Credits
Certificate: 4 courses, 10 hours of service
With Honors: 6 courses, 20 hours of service
With High Honors: 8 courses, 30 hours of service
With Highest Honors: 10 courses, 50 hours of service
Adults:
- Complete the Melton Core course program
- Complete a minimum number of advanced studies courses
- Complete community service hours
Certificate & Credits
Certificate: 5 courses, 10 hours of service
With Honors: 6 courses, 20 hours of service
With High Honors: 11 courses, 30 hours of service
With Highest Honors: 14 courses, 40 hours of service
