Hanukkah
Concert A Huge Success
The 2004 CAJE Family Hanukkah Concerts were a rockin' success. A
record-breaking 300+ individuals attended the December 5 concert at the
Boulder JCC, packing into a cozy concert hall and singing along to
Steve Brodsky and Friends. Rabbi Sheiner lit the
menorah to celebrate the first night of Hanukkah,
CAJE Executive Director Daniel W. Bennett welcomed
the capacity crowd, and then the singing began! The Boulder
JCC Preschool included the concert in its annual Hanukkah party and
the audience included many from the Boulder Jewish
Day School and many families from the Boulder
area.
On Sunday, December 12, the songs and sounds of Hanukkah filled Cherry
Creek Mall for the 10th annual CAJE Hanukkah Concert. Over 600 people
crowded into and around the Kids' Kourt play area as Risa Buckstein,
CAJE Associate Director, welcomed the community. Before the concert
began, young writers were honored as winners of the Cowen Creative
Writing Contest, and then Steve Brodsky and Friends rocked the Mall
with an hour of song and celebration.
