Community High School of Jewish Studies classes begin September 13th in Denver and September 15th in Boulder

The Community High School of Jewish Studies will begin the 1999-2000 year with special programs in both Denver and Boulder. Students in Denver will have their first night of Hebrew High on Monday, September 13 while 9th graders in Boulder will begin on Wednesday, September 15th.

The first evening of classes in Denver will be divided into three parts. The evening starts at 6:45 with grade specific orientation and mixers as well as late registration for those who have not turned in their paperwork. Following the orientations, there will be a Jewish Youth Involvement Fair featuring area youth groups and programs that students may be interested in. Finally, students will visit each of their classes for a brief introduction to the teacher, students and subject matter. School will end at 8:30 PM.

In Boulder, the 9th graders will participate in a community service project and are asked to bring new or gently used sports clothes or equipment with them to school at 6:30 PM. Students will be going on a field trip to the Echo House and will return at 9:00 PM. Remember that this year the Boulder High School is meeting at the new Boulder JCC. Regular classes start for all students on Wednesday September 22nd. For more informatin on Boulder Hebrew High e-mail Jackie (wecancook@aol.com)
