CAJE'S 8TH ANNUAL DINNER -- AN ELEGANT SUCCESS

It was CAJE's privilege to honor Marlin Barad at our 8th Annual Dinner Event on Wednesday, August 30th.  A formal dinner reception was held in the Seawell Ballroom at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts.  This year's theme, Lighting the Way with Wisdom, symbolized our community's passion for Jewish education.

Marlin was presented with this year's Spirit of CAJE Award  recognizing her longtime commitment to Jewish learning, with a beautiful silver Havdalah set.

The evening also featured Dr. Jonathan Woocher, CEO of Jewish Education Service of North America, who spoke on the challenges and blessings of Jewish education in Colorado and nationally. 

Over 400 people attended the dinner, including 30 of this year's Israel Study Tour teen participants.  This year's Dinner Chairs were Elaine Asarch, Andrea Hyatt, Lee Kay, Teena Slatkin, and Francine Topelson.  Cindy Attias and Leslie Sidell served as Recruitment Chairs.
