WHAT IS DIFFERENT ABOUT HEBREW HIGH THIS YEAR?

- Hebrew High offers four main components:
- Mini-Mesters
- All-Day Educational Events
- CAJE Service Learning & Leadership Fellows
- Israel Study Tour
WHAT KIND OF CHOICES CAN I MAKE?
There are many ways to engage in Jewish learning at Hebrew High this year. For example, you could:
- Sign up for all 4 mini-mesters
- Register for each of 3 All-Day Events
- DO EVERYTHING—sign up for all the mini-mesters and events!!
- Mix and Match the courses, days, locations and topics that interest you.
MINI-MESTERS
WHAT IS A MINI-MESTER?
- A mini-mester is a 5-6 week class session. Each session includes:
- A meal opportunity
- Social time with your fellow students
- Phenomenal learning
- You will take one class each night so you can experience a more in-depth learning opportunity
- There will be 4 mini-mesters each year
- You will have four opportunities to check out a variety of classes
WHEN and WHERE ARE CLASSES HELD?
- Classes are offered on Sunday Nights
- Sunday classes are held at Congregation Rodef Shalom
- 5:45-7:30 p.m.
- Includes dinner
- Features our Torah/Text Track
- Classes are offered on Wednesday Nights
- Wednesday classes are held at the Jewish Community Center
- 6:00-8:00 p.m.
- Optional Dinner
- Features our Arts Track
CAN I EARN A CERTIFICATE?
- Yes you can.
- If you choose to take all your classes in one “track” you can earn a CERTIFICATE OF ACCOMPLISHMENT after only 4 mini-mesters of study plus a portfolio demonstrating your new-found knowledge
- A fantastic way to enhance your college resume
ALL-DAY EDUCATIONAL EVENTS
WHAT IS AN ALL-DAY EDUCATIONAL EVENT?
- An exciting and engaging way to bring Jewish learning outside the traditional semester (or mini-mester) model
- Students engage with material in an experiential “doing” environment
- Tracks
- Torah/Text
- Arts
- Service Learning & Leadership
- Social Activism
- Community Service
- Social engagement with peers of similar interest

- November 7, 2010—Global Day of Jewish Learning
- February 6, 2011—Wellness and Health Day
- April 3, 2011—Tikkun Olam and Social Change
